Husbands Thought They Were in Trouble

One morning started normally enough—she was in the kitchen making breakfast, wearing her favorite big T-shirt. I walked in half asleep, expecting quiet. Then she looked at me with a cheeky smile and whispered, “I need you now. Right here.” I froze, unsure if I was dreaming, but I didn’t hesitate. We shared an intense moment right on the kitchen table. After it ended, she kissed my cheek and went back to cooking like nothing happened. I stood there, amazed.

Wondering what brought that on, I asked. She said casually, “The egg timer stopped working.” Suddenly, what felt like a romantic scene turned out to be about a broken kitchen timer. I laughed, realizing how unexpected life’s little moments can be.

Another tale took place at a sleek restaurant, where a couple was enjoying dinner by candlelight. Suddenly, a gorgeous woman approached the husband, kissed him on the cheek, winked, and said, “See you tonight,” walking away confidently. The wife was stunned and demanded to know who she was. The husband calmly said, “She’s my girlfriend.” Furious, the wife said she was done and wanted a divorce.

But the husband stayed calm. He reminded her that if they split, she’d lose luxury trips, a fancy car, and the private club memberships that they enjoyed. The wife thought it over silently.

Then their friend Jim arrived, holding hands with a beautiful woman just like the other one. The wife asked, “Who’s that?” The husband answered, “That’s his girlfriend.” The wife smiled and said, “I still think ours looks better.” The argument melted away, and dinner went on.

These stories remind us that marriage is full of surprises. What looks like trouble might just be the start of a clever comeback. And when it comes to wives, they always seem to have the smartest last word.
